OUR SCHOOLS OFFER AN EXCEPTIONAL PROGRAM OF ELEMENTARY CHRISTIAN EDUCATION FROM JUNIOR KINDERGARTEN (JK) TO GRADE EIGHT.
MUSIC
Our schools place high value on music education. Music plays a role in nearly every day at our schools, either as part of the curriculum, in devotions, at assemblies, or in a choir or Band practice. At NACE we have a music specialist who works with the students from grade one to grade eight. In the Primary Division, most of the music experienced takes place within the classroom, integrated into the course of studies. These grades meet with the Music Teacher weekly for music training and vocal instruction. Beginning in grade four, the Music teacher takes on the majority of the music instruction. For grades four through six this involves music theory, vocal instruction and recorder training. In the Intermediate Division (grades seven and eight), the students participate in an instrumental music program that sees them form a band that rehearses together regularly and on occasion, performs publically. They also continue to receive vocal training and music theory instruction. We are very deliberate in ensuring that our Spring or Christmas Programs as well as other extracurricular activities are rich in music and that they involve every student in the school!
