Covenant Christian School Students Do Well At Regional Historica Fair!
Background:
The grade seven and eight students at Covenant Christian School created ‘Historica Fair’ projects on topics that ranged from “The History of Nursing” to Smithville’s very own ‘Murgatroyd Building’. After making presentations and being interviewed by judges, the best group of projects went on to Dunnville to compete with other projects from across the Grand Erie District. While at this regional fair, three Covenant students were singled out for special honours: Alydia VanderKlippe was judged “Most Enthusiastic” regarding her topic ‘Pier 21’; Alanna Pot was deemed to have the “Best Artifacts” for her amazing collection on ‘The Murgatroyd Building’, and Julia Smit was give the honor of being chosen to represent the Grand Erie District at the provincial Historica Fair in Ottawa for her work on ‘The Halifax Explosion’!
